Discipleship
Jesus discipled his followers, and Paul discipled Timothy. Paul from prison advises Timothy to find other
worthy young believers and disciple them as well.
If the Gospel is to remain and advance there must be purveyors
to do it. There needs to be a continuous supply trained, dedicated and Spirit filled leaders to take the place
of those who fall by the wayside.
I am blessed by the young people God has brought alongside me in Haiti to help
carry on the different ministries we are engaged in. Several of these youth I have known as kids and are now moving
up to take a role in working for the Lord. This is why our Child sponsorship program and Youth outreach is so important.
Yet, due to economic troubles in the States we have lost some of our sponsors and have had to
drop two Christian schools from our help list.
Please pray for our young Pastors who are now leading the 4 new
churches in the Dariol area. They are Francol Germitus, Rodrigue Paul, Obrian Ilnea and Gerson Jean.
Rodrigue
is trying to get through the maze of government paperwork to be officially recognized as a Pastor. Pray that he succeeds.
His young wife lost their first baby, and is now needing prayer for the second child she is carrying.
What an honor
it is to work with these enthusiastic, gifted young believers. Because of them I can leave the field when I need
to to raise funds for the mission and know that the work is going forward. Please consider helping us to be able to
continue to advance the Gospel in Haiti by providing us with the financial and prayer resources that we need. Send your
support to our Gospel Growers office.

Thank you, Lord...
I am praising and thanking the Lord as He got me through both cataract surgeries without problems. For
the first time in 50 years, I can see without glasses! It does seem like a miracle. Many thanks to Dr. Lisa Nath
who performed the procedures.
I hated glasses! They were always slipping down my nose and I was always worried
about breaking or losing them--what a sense of freedom I have now!
Things are not good with the economic news nothing
to smile about. We have lost sponsors for the kids which means our program to put poor Haitian kids in school and educate
them out of poverty is in danger. Please pray with us that those sponsors we have left will be able to continue
to participate in this great effort to change the poor country of Haiti through child evangelism and by bringing them
out of darkness and ignorance and into the light.

So far so good...
Well, so far no hurricane has hit the Cote de Fer area, Praise God! They are having rainshowers which
are good for the crops. The cholera epidemic which had threatened to come back has died down. Hopefully it won't
surface again this Fall!
Dariol church is thriving since the arrival of their new Pastor, Junior Gaspard.
We thank the Lord that His Spirit is active in all 4 of the churches planted around Dariol at Dubois, Metayer, Frederick and
Koray Labe.
During my cataract surgery I have benefited from their prayers! One down and one more to go,
scheduled for September 14. Already I am noticing a marked improvement in my vision. Thank you for your prayers
also!
We are entering difficult times as the economy is suffering and some people are unable to continue
to help Gospel Growers. We pray that the LORD who has all resources to share with His people bless you all who
have been partners with us so long, and that He will continue to bless your households and also enable you to help us continue
this work among the Haitian people.
Thank you for participating in advancing God's work and in spreading the Gospel
of Jesus Christ!
