Are YOU thankful........?

There are countless reasons for my thankfulness to GOD today.  They range from the generic type blessings to the more personal interventions which HE has done for me.  They range from the everyday blessings to the spectacular things he has done, does and continues to do for me.  The greatest of course is physical existance and then spiritual life which He gave me when I came to trust Christ as my Savior.

What about you....?

A Strange thing....

While we haven't registered any cases of H1N1 flu here, the pig population has died off considerably.  This is catastrophic economically for Haitian farmers as pig raising is a way to invest any extra funds they may have had accumulated.  Some pigs bear 10 offspring which can help out alot when money is needed they can sell off the piglets.

My neighbor who raises bees tells me the has been a drop in the bee population as well.  Rain is not falling during this period usually seen as part of the rainy season.  Crops of pitimi are drying up and in some places are a total loss.

Some stream beds which usually have water flowing are dry and some springs have no water.  Could these things be caused by the El Nino effect?  All the hurricanes have been in the Pacific ocean.  Haiti is under stress.

Please pray with us for relief from this abnormally hot, dry weather.

God is Faithful!!!
Well, it sure seems Satan was trying to discourage  me-- the plane in Miami was delayed by 1 1/2 hrs. because of a fuel pump problem.  Then on our way to Dariol an SUV in the opposite lane almost ran into us forcing us off the road onto the berm.  Praise God there were no pedestrians passing by at that moment.  If my driver hadnt had the presence of mind to veer to the right we might all be in the hospital right now.  I'm counting on you, Lord!  Remember Psalm 91!

The countryside is green and fresh, but if no rain falls then the pitimi crop will be a washout.  Pray for rain!!  The church service today was a real blessing.  It was good to see everyone again.

For the next couple weeks I won't get much done as visitors stop by, but that always happens when I first get back.
