Touchdown...

I arrived back in Haiti on 17 June and I didn't come alone.  Karen Thomas accompanied me and she will be visiting Dariol for approximately 3 weeks.  Karen hales from Vincentown, New Jersey where she attends the Baptist Church  that has sent several mission teams down in the past.

Although Karen has traveled outside the US before this is her first trip to Haiti.  Karen is doing anthropology and nutrition studies in college.  During her stay she is residing in Pastor and Mrs. Philaine's home.  She is already getting to know many of the Dariolites and seems to be learning Creole slowly.

It is good to see everyone again and getting back into my routine again (in between frequent visits).  Its our hope that Karen's visit will be a blessing for both her and the people here.

"...a purified people zealous for good works." Titus 2:14

Many charitable organizations seem to be increasingly affected by the difficult economic times we are presently undergoing.  We can see this in the amount of mail and telephone calls.  God has been gracious to  Gospel Growers by giving us a faithful and generous group of supporters who continue to give sacrificially to this ministry.

Its an honor and a privilege to be called to be co-workers together with you as we "labor as unto the Lord".  I am so encouraged to see the effect the evangelistic efforts of the Radio Station, Christian schools, Church Worker Bible studies are having in the area which we are ministering.  It is apparent that this work has been and hopefully will continue to prove to have not been in vain.

I am in the process of preparing to return to my post in Haiti which will take place, God willing, 17 June.  I continue to receive calls from there and am excited about returning.  Through the particuliar generosity of the United Church of Grand Cayman, funds have been donated to create a substation for the Radio station.  It will be located at Dariol so that I will be able to take an active role in the broadcasting.  The equipment has already been sent for so please pray that the Lord will bless this ministry as we get ever closer to the date of our Lord Jesus' return.
