"...in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord." Romans 12:11
Praise the Lord for his blessings and mercy! On Monday last I had my sutures
removed, and the Dr. said things looked good and nothing further had to be done. Thank you all for your prayers
and encouragement!
Wednesday last I substituted for our Bible Study teacher, Cel Slat,
as she was away on vacation. I was led to look at Psalms 78: 1-8 as most of the 15 present were parents and grandparents.
This passage of scripture tells of the necessity of elders to share their faith, beliefs and experiences with their children
and grandchildren for Christianity to survive. I think current conditions in our country shows how lax the last
and present generations have been in this regard. Its time to wakeup and start being faithful to telling all about our
wondrous God and Saviour, JESUS CHRIST.
Last night, Thursday, I was invited to speak to a group
of ladies who meets monthly at All Soul's Episcopal Church for food and fellowship. I was able to share with the 31
women present some things about my ministry in Haiti and what God is doing there through the Gospel Growers Mission.
This event lasted from 6-8 pm and I was blessed by meeting a great group of faithful women and believe me, the food was
great also!!!
This weekend is Pentecost when we remember the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth
of the Church. Let us lift our hands in praise and worship to our GOD and Lord JESUS CHRIST as we gather in church
on Sunday in celebration. The LORD is coming soon to take us where He is, and I can't wait!! What
about you?

Many Thanks!
Many thanks to all of you who were praying for me recently. On Monday morning last I had a cancerous growth removed
from my left forearm. The doctor said he thought he had got it all. I have a 3 inch incision and 10 stitches.
My rendevous for suture removal is in 2 weeks.
This whole episode has had me thinking of how similiar cancer is to sin in ones's life. If left unchecked it can
secretly spread throughout the soul just as cancer spreads throughout the body. The most effective cure is to cut out
the offending growth "root and branch". How wonderful we have the great surgeon Jesus Christ who is able to perform
this necessary operation in our lives.
As Christians we must face all the trials and problems that afflict other inhabitants of this planet, but we have
a special consulting physician who is more than able to treat our woes. Just knowing this can help us face any crisis
that comes upon us. Our attitude should be like that of Job when he declared "Though He slay me, I will hope in Him!"
(Job 13:15)
Nothing that happens to me can come unless it is allowed to by God. And that should make us able to withstand the
difficult circumstances that occur in our lives. Let us look to Him and trust without reserve.

prayer request
Hope you all were blessed today at your Church. We had communion as its the first Sunday of the month--its always
a special moment for me.
I have a prayer request for you all. I visited a dermatologist because of a growth on my arm. As soon as
he glanced at it he said it was cancerous. I will be having it removed and biopsied on May 11. Please keep me
in your prayers.
All the news I'm getting from my Haitian co-workers is good. God is blessing!
