"Praise God for His Son,a gift too wonderful for words." 2 Cor. 9:15
Praise  the Lord! I just got back from Port-au Prince safely.  While there I took care of some details in renewing my residence visa and purchased 5 computers with a generous gift from First Presbyterian Church of Red Bank, NJ.  These computers will be donated to both Christian schools of Cote de Fer and Dariol.  This gift will greatly enhance the kids' educational experience and will give them a competetive edge amongst their peers. Many thanks to this church!                     This weekend the new church we implanted at Sauvage will be holding a 3 day retreat for over 200 young people.  Different speakers will be treating various spiritual and social topics for the kids and nightly evangelistic services will be open to the surrounding community. Last year at a similar event over 50 people accepted the Lord.  Sunday morning will start off the event with a baptism ceremony for 13 converts. Soon 12 couples who had been living together will take marriage vows enabling them to be baptised also.  Praise the Lord!                      A graduation ceremony for 18 street kids who have completed two years training in mechanics will soon take place.  This wonderful project was funded by Elmslie United Church of Grand Cayman. We had hopes of continuing this and some other street kids projects this year but funding hasn't been found yet.  These kids not only have received a hand up from poverty and a possible life of crime, but they have met Jesus Christ as well.  What a privilege and joy it is ti serve the Lord here in Haiti.            Warning-I'm about to change my personal mailing address-AGAIN--so watch for its posting soon.  Just when most of you where getting used to the last one--SORRY!
Maranatha--Christ is coming soon!

"But many of the people who heard their message believed it..." Acts 4:4
For some time now (since I've been in Cayes) there has been a church meeting in the house which I rent here.  We have grown now to the point where we are bursting at the seams!  There is a great need for more space and the only way to solve it is to buy land and build a building which can house this growing congregation.

The great problem is buying the land.  Land is very expensive here and the amount available is diminishing as more people purchase it. We are about to be locked out of the community if we don't find the funds to get one of the few remaining lots available.  The one lot we had hoped for was sold but the Lord has given us an opportunity for a lot that is cheaper for only $36,000.

If we had $10,000 there is a chance we could at least hold it until we can pay the rest.  This would be a great opportunity for you or your church to help implant this church securely in the community.  We have new people visiting all the time but when there is no place to sit they leave.

Please pray that this great obstacle will be be rolled away!
