"Yes, I am coming soon!" Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!" Rev. 22:20
More than at any other time of year, Advent has long been the time when the Church looks forward to the second coming
of Christ. This is especially so recently due to the ever increasing troubles on this terrestrial sphere.
We as believers in Jesus Christ can look forward into the future with confidence and a joyful expectation of better times
to come. It is with this prospect in view that many Haitian churches are closing the year 2006 with evangelistic
crusades culminating in a time of spiritual reflection on the completion of one year and the beginning of a new
one. I enjoy Christmas here in Haiti among the poor as it lacks the rushed and hassled commercialism of the USA.
I am getting ready to distribute the new Sunday school materials for 2007. This year we will be serving over 100 churches
of many different denominations. What they do have in common is a sincere desire to learn and understand God's word.
Something that seems to be waning in the USA according to polls and statistics. Let us pray for a worldwide revival
of the Christian Faith in 2007, and be active also in declaring our personal belief in Jesus to all who will listen.
I plan to visit Dariol for the remainder of this month, so you may not get a blog entry any time soon. Keep looking
though. May you all have a blessed time leading up to the New Year!
